NEW MEMBER TO THE FPK TEAM Dave Mayhall is our newest member to FPK Security team as the Vice President of Marketing. He comes to us with over 20 years of sales and banking experience. In 1995, he founded Pacific Capital Leasing Corporation. Prior to Pacific Capital, he was a business banker at Wells Fargo Bank securing loans for business customers. Dave has a Bachelors Degree in Business and Marketing from Chapman University in Orange, California. SECURITY UPDATES: FPK Security employees continue to meet the stringent requirements set by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services as well as OSHA. All of FPK’s employees are pre-screened through our Pre-Employment Background Investigation Department. Training is an extremely important issue for FPK Security. Therefore, all of our FPK Security Supervisors have the highest level of professionalism and are licensed to train the Security Officers assigned to the field. These supportive efforts show in our continually low workers’ compensation experience modification. INSURANCE INVESTIGATIONS: FPK Investigations continues to assist in uncovering fraud cases and providing our clients with the information needed to process their claims. Such was the case this month where the alleged back injured Claimant was caught on tape by our Investigators participating in National Dirt Bike Racing. Also caught on tape this month was the alleged ankle injured Claimant running and jumping while coaching a Little League Football Team. These fraud cases are just a few examples of our high level of expertise. AOE/COE ACTIVITIES: FPK Investigations prompt reporting uncovered numerous fraudulent claims last year. For example, FPK was on scene within days of a reported slip and fall over an area of water. However, not one co-worker noticed any wetness or dirt on the employees clothing or body during the Claimant’s entire work shift. FPK continued to uncover that the reported slip and fall area had no sign of disturbance from a shoe or any noticeable skid marks. Pictures were obtained and the Claimant shortly thereafter retracted the statement. INTERNAL THEFT: Congratulations to our Investigators who recovered $50,000 of stolen goods and merchandise which included washers/dryers, laptops, ipods and more in just one of FPK Investigation’s sting operations. PRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND The hot topic in obtaining Background Information is the information found on the applicants’ social networking sites. Along with our extensive Social Security Verification, Criminal Records Check, Civil Court Findings, DMV History, Prior Employment Verification, Consumer Credit Report, Education Verification and Workers’ Compensation Claims History, FPK Investigations adds to our clients Pre-Employment Background Checks the applicants’ social networking site to help Human Resource Representatives take the guesswork out of who they are hiring. CCTV: FPK Security’s highly technical surveillance system continues to provide our clients with the most innovative capabilities in the market today. Our CCTV Video Surveillance serves as a deterrent to potential criminals while assuring efficiency in the work place. FRAUD TIP OF THE MONTH: If the employee alleges an injury occurred on a Friday however did not report the incident until the following Monday, this would give reason of a suspicious claim therefore advise your Insurance representative immediately.
